Bosch dishwasher E15 error
E15 means the dishwasher's safety switch has detected water in the base and the leakage protection system has activated.
Turn off the dishwasher's water inflow.
Bosch recommends turning off the water inflow and contacting customer support. If you can safely isolate electrical power without touching water, switch the appliance off as well.
What triggered the code?
A float or safety mechanism in the dishwasher base has detected water where it should not be. That does not identify the exact leak source. A seal, hose, pump, connection, or internal component may require inspection.
This is what the code confirms.
The code alone does not identify the failed part.
The dishwasher may keep trying to drain.
Safe checks before service

Do not continue running the dishwasher to see if the code clears.
- 2Turn off the water supply
Use the appliance isolation valve if you can reach it safely.
- 3Check only visible external connections
Look for water around the supply and drain hoses without pulling apart the appliance.
- 4Arrange model-specific service
Record the full model number and E15 code before contacting support.
Do not tilt the dishwasher as a “reset”
Tilting may move water away from the sensor without repairing the leak. It can also spread water toward electrical components. Clearing the display is not the same as fixing the fault.
